Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco) and CME Rickenbacker expert Dan Wean, huggin it out after a great decision was made.
On the eve of the great Chicago blizzard of 2011 (last Tuesday), Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy decided to come out to Chicago Music Exchange on his hunt for a vintage Rickenbacker. Once the winds picked up and the snow got a little out of control, Chicago Music Exchange was forced to close early, leaving the decision for another day.
After a week of reflecting on the Rickenbackers here at Chicago Music Exchange, and probably some intense shoveling, Jeff Tweedy made his way back to the shop and decided on this beautiful 1966 Rickenbacker 365 in Fireglo finish.
Check out another great Rickenbacker 365 from that era with the awesome example from 1965 pictured below. Click here to see it.
